Flights of Fantantasy provides presentational and interactive stories woven together, showcasing innovative interpretations of folk tales and fables from around the world. Schools will especially appreciate the standards-based material and program guide. The lively performances use mime, masks, props and costumes to ensure a visually rich and captivating storytelling experience for children of all ages and grade levels. The goal of each presentation is to demonstrate the transformational power of theatre and how a performance can bring literature to life while celebrating the human experience.

Flights of Fantasy has conducted many story theatre workshops for students and teachers at elementary schools in the Los Angeles and Glendale communities. Storytelling techniques improve comprehension skills and help students develop confidence. Avenues of creativity and expression are explored which give children the opportunity to better articulate their feelings and use language and movement in new ways. These workshops result in students becoming better readers, critical thinkers and improving their academic performance overall.

For over twelve years, Flights of Fantasy has been bringing their remarkable blend of comedy and storytelling to children and their families at libraries, schools, festivals, and museums throughout southern California. They have been return performers at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, Cerritos Performing Arts "Family Day" Festival, "L.A. Kids Read" and Connection For Children’s “Literacy Festival.” They have also toured most of the city libraries in Los Angeles, Pasadena, Burbank, Long Beach and Glendale and have brought their show to libraries in Kern County, Ventura County and Orange County. In addition, they have received contracts with the Los Angeles Unified School District as part of the Health Education Program and are currently providing performances, workshops and professional development to elementary schools as part of the Arts Community Partnership Network.
